Kids Party Ideas

Our Petite Happy Pancakes are the ultimate blank canvas for all your tasty, fun birthday treats.  They are ready made, meaning all you need to do is add toppings – making kids party preparation quick and easy!

Forget the crumbly party mess, as these finger food treats hold their own no matter what topping.  What’s even better is that these mini pancakes come in packs of 24, which is just the right amount to fill a large plate.

Below are our favourite party treats that little kids (and big kids!) will love.

Mini pancakes

Fruit Wands

Here we have fruit wands where we threaded grapes onto kebab sticks and then finished them off with a sprinkle covered pancake at the top!  You can match the sprinkles to the colour of grapes.  This will take only minutes to prepare.

Fairy Pancakes

There is nothing quite as magical as fairy bread. If you are a child it’s hard to resist, and as an adult it is bound to take you back to your childhood birthday parties.  Traditionally fairy bread is made with, you guessed it, bread! Here we have taken it to a whole new level using our petite pancakes.

Monster Pancakes

Next we had fun with coloured icing and candy eyes, dreaming up all sorts of monsters. Some have 3 eyes, others 1. Some have teeth, and others none!  This could be a great activity for kids to help with their party preparations.

Fruit Kebabs

Our fruit kebabs are a riot of colour and texture. We simply buttered the pancakes and sprinkled them with sprinkles, then threaded them onto kebab sticks along with some fruit. We loved matching the sprinkles to the fruit, but you could also mix it all up too!

Strawberry Milkshake

Every good party is accompanied by a delicious drink.  This idea takes the humble strawberry milkshake to a whole new level by adding strawberry sauce, whipped cream, sprinkles and our mini pancakes.

Jam & Cream

Who doesn’t love the simple idea of just jam and cream on a pancake!  This will be a winner with both the kids and the adults.

Yoghurt & Fruit

You could dish up our petites with a dollop of plain or coconut yoghurt and topped with a variety of seasonal fruit.  If you wanted to get fancy you could add a drizzle of passionfruit pulp or berry sauce.

Chocolate & Peanut Butter Fruit Bites

There are several businesses now making chocolate and peanut butter spread, so we thought we would get in on the action and add it to our mini pancakes, topped with your choice of fruit.

Ice Cream Sandwiches

Once again we have taken a party classic, the ice cream sandwich, but used our petite pancakes to create a modern twist.  Let the ice cream soften a little then spoon out and sandwich between two mini pancakes. Add sprinkles to the sides then put in the freezer until ready to serve.

Fruit Sandwiches

We simply iced the top of one pancake, adding in a flower or two for decoration. We then spread the bottom of each pancake with mascarpone and lemon curd and added a slice or two of strawberry before sandwiching them together.

You can find our Petite Happy Pancakes in most supermarkets across New Zealand and Australia, located in the in-store bakery section.  They are also available for food service businesses to purchase through their distributor.
